Thanksgiving Christmas Tree

I meant to share this with you all sooner but time got away from me. I had so much fun putting together our Thanksgiving Fall Christmas Tree this year and even chalked up some decorations like this Autumn Is In The Air pumpkin chalkboard. Isn’t it cute?!

Look how simple it was to make using the Autumn Is In The Air Chalk Transfer from Chalk Couture and some Chalkology Paste…

Always Be A Mermaid

“Always be yourself, unless you can be a Mermaid, then always be a Mermaid!”

Who else loves mermaids? Isn’t this Always Be A Mermaid Chalk Couture Transfer Ahhhhhmazing?! Oh Em Gee, it’s one of my all time favs. It pairs perfectly with the Under The Sea Chalk Transfer. There is another super cute Mermaid transfer that we have called Dream Big Little Mermaid. It’s super cute too! I thought the 19.5″ round chalkboard from Chalk Couture was perfect for this design, however you could get away with the 18″ x 24″ size chalkboards for this and it would be so gorgeous. We have several high quality, porcelain, magnetic boards to choose from.

Here is the video to see the process in action… it was so much fun to create.

Did you see how glittery the mermaid is? Ahhh … it looks so gorgeous in person. The sparkles on the mermaid were the perfect touch. You should try it. Simply sprinkle on the glitter while your Chalkology Paste is wet, dump off the excess, then blow dry it and the last step is to wipe away the excess. Your project isn’t going to budge until you’re ready to remove it and spray/wipe it with water. However, if you want to seal your project, you totally can. You simple use a seal spray like Krylon Matte Spray Sealer and spray over the entire design.

Even 4 year olds LOVE Chalk Couture

My 4 year old daughter, Londyn, wanted to play with Chalk Couture like mommy. She even wanted to make her own video. Start them young, right? I can’t even with her little morning voice. She’s too much!!!

Isn’t it so great that this can be a craft you can do with kids too? They love it! She did awesome, didn’t she?

Chalkology Paste on Mirrors

Does the Chalkology Paste from Chalk Couture work on mirrors? Check out this video below to see it in action…

Oh yes, yes it does. Isn’t that so easy and fun?! You can use this stuff on so many different surfaces from wood, glass, chalkboards to walls and so much more!

Chalk + Paper = Super Cute Chalkboard

I had so much fun creating with Chalk and Paper today! I started with the Little One Transfer from Chalk Couture and then added the Chalkology Paste in Red, peeled off the transfer and viola!!! I still and I’m awww every time I use this stuff.

Then I used the JACK paper pack that is from CTMH to add a photo mat to the cute pics of my little one, Fox. I added some matching JACK stickers, punched 2 little holes in each and put Twine through it. Then just adheres it to the side of the frame and that was a wrap. Pretty cute, huh?

I could totally see making these as gifts for people. Whether it be for a wedding and chalking a wedding saying, or back to school with the kids pics, 1st birthday, monthly pregnancy pics, baby shower… so many ideas come to mind. This was an inexpensive frame that I purchased at Ross. They have frames all over and the beauty of these Chalk Couture products is it can be used on pretty much any surface including windows, mirrors, wood, glass, painted furniture and more!

Chalk what?! Totally Mind Blown!

I recently discovered a new product that I’m absolutely obsessed with. If you’ve been following my other blog: My Passion For Scrapbooking, you already know I dabble with a variety of crafts. It’s far from just scrapbooking. I even love to decorate (or attempt) chalk boards for my kids school pictures or different occasions. The problem is they don’t look so great. They are even laughable, like this one….

Before Chalk Couture

But guess what?! They never have to look like that again because of this new product that I am LOVING. Check this out…. You pick a chalk transfer (which is like a stencil), pick the colors of chalk paste you’d like and a squeegee or a credit card/finger to apply and you’re set to create some amazing things. You literally peel and stick down your Chalk Transfer on a chalkboard (or window, wood surface, canvas, etc.) and then you take your Chalkology Paste (in 1 or multiple colors) and apply with your Squeegee over the Transfer, then remove the Transfer and VIOLA!!! Oh eM Gee, right?! I’m telling you, this stuff rocks!!!

Here is just a small glimpse of some projects…

Isn’t it the coolest?! So fun and easy! You don’t have to have good handwriting anymore to have awesome chalkboards or personalized home decor. I’m super jazzed over this stuff. You can take a look at the Chalk Couture Products HERE! Can’t wait to share more creations with you all very soon.
